BORA Cooktops
Silica, or silicon dioxide (SiO2), is a natural compound of silicon and oxygen. It’s one of the most common minerals on Earth, found in materials like sand, quartz and rocks.
Silica is widely used in various industries to make glass, ceramics, concrete, and engineered stone (like some worktops). However, when silica-containing materials are processed, they can release harmful dust particles, which can pose serious health risks if inhaled.
