Warranty
25-Year Material Warranty Guarantee
The warranty begins on the day the installer confirms to us that the product has been successfully installed, as long as all payments for both supply and installation have been completed. Customers are advised to keep their original invoice as proof of purchase, as this is necessary to validate the warranty. If the invoice is not available, the warranty will not be honored.
This warranty is transferable within the first 25 years to a new owner, provided the new owner can show (i) reasonable proof of ownership and (ii) a letter or chain of letters from the original and any subsequent owners, transferring the warranty. A sample letter can be provided by us for your convenience.
The warranty applies only to products supplied and installed by or on behalf of DIY Kitchens Worktop within England. Products installed by anyone other than DIY Kitchens Worktop or our authorized installers are not covered.
This warranty complements your statutory rights related to faulty or misrepresented goods. For more details on your legal rights, visit the Citizens Advice website at www.adviceguide.org.uk or call 03454 04 05 06.
What the Material Warranty Covers
Note: The Quartz material is sourced from Mo's StoneX LTD.
This warranty covers material defects in worktops provided to the customer. If a valid claim is made, DIY Kitchens Worktop will, at its discretion, repair or replace any defective part of the product, subject to warranty terms.
If a product replacement is required, reasonable efforts will be made to match the original color and thickness. However, exact matches cannot be guaranteed. If the original color is no longer available, we will provide the closest match. In cases where an exact match cannot be made, adjoining sections may also be replaced.
The warranty covers kitchen worktops that are permanently installed in the customer’s home for domestic use only, with strict adherence to the provided Care and Maintenance Guidelines.
To make a valid warranty claim, the customer must report any defects promptly after they are discovered.
This warranty will apply to any products we repair or replace for the remaining duration of the original 25-year warranty period.
What the Material Warranty Does Not Cover
- Non-residential use: Products used commercially or for non-residential purposes.
- Minor defects: Small imperfections not visible from over 1 meter away.
- Non-worktop items: Taps, sinks, or other non-worktop components. These may have separate manufacturer warranties, which we will pass on where applicable.
- Cracks due to movement of supporting units.
- Defects from sink cutouts, polished edges, and other fabrication processes.
- Issues with joins or fixings (note: such defects may be covered by a separate 5-year workmanship warranty if installation was done by us).
- Improper treatment: Damage from excessive heat, unapproved chemicals, or improper care, including:
- Cracks caused by heat, excessive weight, or impact.
- Chips from scraping, bumping, or impact.
- Discoloration from prolonged exposure to heat or direct sunlight.
- Wear and Tear: Faults or defects arising from fair wear and tear or neglect.
- Improper Use: Faults, defects, or damage resulting from improper use, including using the product in unintended ways.
- Customer-supplied specifications: Defects resulting from instructions or designs provided by the customer.
Additional Notes
- Due to the nature of quartz, some small dark spots may appear, creating a patchy look.
- Quartz worktops may appear dull or shadowy under certain lighting conditions, which is a characteristic of the material.
- Some products may contain mirror chips, which are distributed randomly. Occasionally, these chips may detach during manufacturing, but we use resin filler to repair the surface. These factors are not considered defects and are not covered by the warranty.

5-Year Installation Guarantee
This warranty begins when the installer notifies us that the product has been installed, provided all payments for the supply and installation have been settled.
Keep the original invoice as proof of purchase. If the invoice is not available, warranty coverage will be voided.
The warranty can be transferred within 5 years to a new owner, provided they present (i) proof of ownership and (ii) a letter or chain of letters transferring the warranty, which we can assist with.
This warranty applies only to products installed by or on behalf of DIY Kitchens Worktop within England, Scotland, or Wales. Products not installed by our authorized installers are not covered under this warranty.
This warranty is in addition to your statutory rights concerning faulty or misdescribed goods. For more details on your legal rights, visit the Citizens Advice website at www.advice-guide.org.uk or call 03454 04 05 06.
What the Warranty Covers
This warranty covers workmanship defects during the fabrication and installation of the product, including:
- Cutting the product to size and shape.
- Cutting out sinks and taps.
- Applying polished edges.
The warranty also covers defects in the installation of the Product, which includes:
- Fixing the Product to base units.
- Joining sections of the Product.
- Fixing the Product to wall surfaces as included in the design (e.g., up-stands and splash-backs).
If a customer has a valid warranty claim, DIY Kitchens Worktop will, at its discretion, either repair or replace any damaged or defective sections of the Product due to a breach of this warranty. We will also re-perform any defective installation or fabrication work.
When replacing the Product, we will make reasonable efforts to match the original colour and thickness. However, an exact match cannot be guaranteed. If a colour has been discontinued, the closest available match at the time will be substituted.

This warranty requires that the customer initiates a claim as soon as reasonably possible after discovering a defect in the material.
For any services re-performed under this warranty, the coverage extends for the remaining duration of the initial 5-year warranty period. If DIY Kitchens Worktop repairs or replaces any worktops under this warranty, the terms of DIY Kitchens Worktop Twenty-Five Year Material Warranty apply to such replacements for the remaining period of the 25-year warranty.
